Serious Accident on Seven Sisters Road Brings Traffic to a Standstill

Early this afternoon on Seven Sisters Road outside Finsbury Park Station, a driver lost control of his car and ploughed in to the side of an oncoming lorry. 

A police officer had been immediately behind the car at the time of the accident. He told me, "He just suddenly swerved into the lorry without any apparent reason, but it seems fairly evident that he'd been drinking".

Whilst the driver escaped with relatively minor injuries the passenger was more seriously hurt and the Fire Brigade had to cut open the car.
