Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi all - I am looking for a good GP near to the ladder. Ideally I would like a largish practice with a good choice of male and female doctors, as well as the ability to make appointments and repeat prescriptions online. Has anyone got any good suggestions (and also where they would not recommend?)

Thanks!

I second the Vale Practice. I know it's out of the local area and with current traffic could be difficult to get to but it is very good. Several women including the lovely Dr Taylor. Our family has been going for the last 21 years and they have online appointments etc, plus are good at referring to specialists etc. I'd be interested to see what there is more locally though.

Unfortunately that's where I am at the moment and haven't had quite the same positive experience so looking to move...

Bridge House practice on Umfreville Road. The doctors seem to change quite a lot, but I don't go to see them frequently anymore. I did when my children were small and they were great with them and I've always had a great service from all the doctors I've seen over the 13 years we been registered there.

Their appointment booking system leaves a lot to be desired but I have always managed to get an appointment after a bit of a faff.

I send in repeat prescription requests by email and I know you can set something up which allows you to pick them up directly from Sainsburys. They might do it with other chemists too but I don't know.

They do.....I pick my prescription up from the chemist near the old café Lemon.

The doctors at Bridge House are brilliant. Unfortunately their appointment process is terrible.

Lawrence House Surgery on Philip Lane are great. I've had bad experiences elsewhere but this place is really, really good, with a selection of male and female staff, online booking, text reminders, etc.

Lawrence House Surgery would be my recommendation as well. appointments booking on line. repeat prescriptions on line. taking new people. male and female doctors as well as a nurse for minor queries. been with them for 30 years.

I would avoid Bridge House like the plague. I was with them and left after never being able to get an appointment and having to deal with extremely rude reception staff

I second that.

We go to West Green Surgery on West Green Road.  They are a bit short on female doctors though.  Same issues with getting appointments as most surgeries, but we've always been able to get same day ones for our son when we've needed to.

I can vouch for West Green surgery.
