Hi
I'm moving out of my flat soon (moving in with girlfriend) and have a couple of bulky electrical items that I'd like to sell - a fridge freezer and a washer dryer. Both are currently located in a lean-to at the back of my ground floor flat and will be tricky to move. The washer dryer in particular will be a nightmare - it was delivered by John Lewis who used those heavy-duty suction cups to manoeuvre it.
The appliances are worth maybe £80 each so I don't want to give them away, but even if I advertise them on eBay (or here) as 'collect only' I expect it's unreasonable to expect the buyer to help out so much?
Does anybody know of companies that trade in second-hand electricals who might be able to pick them up?
thanks

You could put it on Gumtree and specify what would be needed for collection. There are business that look out for things they want on there. It would at least be a first step while you try and find another way to sell it
I sold a washing machine and gave away a sofa on Gumtree. In both cases, I specified that they'd need two people to collect the item from a first-floor flat. Was not a problem.
Its expected that buyer collects. If you put it on ebay or Gumtree you should give info such as 'needs two people to lift' .....
Thanks for the replies & tips. In the end - very late - the buyer decided she wanted the washer dryer so I was able to leave it in place.
I think the lesson for me is not to worry too much - I guess it is the buyer's choice & responsibility if I say it needs 2 people.
