Arh yes, a bendy bus blocking two lanes and a BMW called BLOB. You found a tree (to the left) which is quite an achievement.

Nice shot Alistair. What size zoom were you using?
I know it's not really important, but it's a Saab! Sorry, it's the nerd in me :)
I believe Matt is correct, Fippo - it does look Saab-like but the badge in the middle of the boot lid (you may have to view-full size) says BMW... you're right, not important though... ;-)
Oh dear.....I feel so ashamed!
The bendy bus is not the problem. Why is it leaving the bus lane at all? Because someone has parked in it.

The problem is the car turning right out of Hewitt Rd.... In my opinion the most dangerous thing you can do on Green Lanes that is legal.

All the same, yes, very flattering; well done Alistair!
Quite right John and of course you haven't even mentioned the vans and cars parked 'on the wrong side' of the road... They needed to pull infront of oncoming traffic to park.. very dangerous.. where's John D and his zero tolerance now?
Ha ha ha, I'd completely missed it. It used to amaze me when I first came here. In New Zealand if you park on the wrong side the of road the Police do you for 'dangerous driving' and I think it's an immediate loss of license for 6 months, not sure. They're allowed to assume that to get in that position you drove on the wrong side of the road which is highly illegal... is it not?
The same here... I think it is also illegal in the U.K. But the police gave up on that years ago..
It's illegal to park on the wrong side of the road at night unless in a recognised parking space.
Arh but the council in their wisdom allow parking in bus lanes for most of the day, otherwise the traders would rebel. Bus lane south only has to be clear (and not driven on by cars) 7am-10am.
Thanks both - I accidentally removed the EXIF info from the picture but a '35mm equivalent' zoom of about 300mm.
I like the trees in the distance. Ive never noticed that before. I will have to take more of the view in when I venture out to green lanes tomorrow! Usually, I put my head down and wonder why on earth I still live here! :D
