Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
West Green Tavern up for sale
It seems the West Green Tavern is on the market.
By the look of the details given on rightmove the pub will stay, with the opportunity to develop housing upstairs.
Does anyone local have strong feelings about what should/ should happen to the building. What would locals like to see in the area? A decent pub would be a nice addition to WGR I think!

I know LOTS of people who would LOVE to see a decent pub on West Green road. A proper London pub like the Salisbury or Westbury would be very welcome.

Agreed here also, if it wasn't for The Beehive there would be nowhere decent around N17. Altough, I would love to be corrected on that.

The Antwerp Arms is a massive hike from west green road. We really could do with a decent boozer here. Maybe the owners of West Green Tavern are cashing in on the glory of West Green road's favourable appearance on last week's Location, Location, Location!

It's a good pub for the area. They're trying to do a lot with it. Bit too much of a walk for it to be a regular haunt for me.

Locals interested in preserving the future of the site as a pub should consider an application t' Council to have the pub listed as an Asset of Community Value - It's also a good way of bringing together the local community on an issue of common interest.
An ACV listing was the first step in securing the future of The Antwerp Arms and, more recently, The Prince in Bounds Green. The Prince ACV Listing.

Interested parties could use Haringay Online to gather the necessary 21 signatories. I used a more specifically local website to get the ball rolling with my local pub in N22
