It is with great sadness that I have to find Rocky a new home. He is 7 and shares his birthday with the King of Pop! He is a great character with a very patient and placid nature and loves nothing more than having his tummy rubbed but will from time to time bring home delightful presents of birds, mice and frogs!
Since the move he has not been himself and would like a loving home with a garden in a quiet neighbourhood without traffic and lots of attention. He sociable and would do well with other cats.
If you think you can offer him loving home or have any questions please get in touch.

Hi Theo, he looks delightful and well loved. Is it because of area/traffic that you are looking to rehome him? There are ways to help cats settle in after a move if this is what would like to consider as well. I work as a companion animal behaviourist, and moving is a common stressor. If you would you can check out my website and see if you think you would like to work on this. http://happydogsandcats.co.uk/pet-behaviour-services/cat-behaviour/

Hi Theo, that is very sad and must be very hard for you to have to rehome him, but understand it's not tenable for Rocky or your partner now. I know that Battersea London and Wood Green Animal Shelter in Godmanchester are implementing new strategies to reduce stress in the cattery, and improve rehoming so cats are more well-matched to the new homes, so possible considerations if you do not find anyone by word of mouth. As he is a friendly little cat, he should stand a better chance of being rehomed more speedily. Sorry I cannot help any further. Best of luck, Vicky
Completely understand. Will keep my ears open most definitely. Vicky
There is, of course, an alternative which would allow Rocky to stay and adapt to his new busier location. But I'm sure Theo has already considered the possibility.
I'd have him in a moment, but I'm on the third floor
John, in case of interest, some of the cats stuck in rescue places need permanent indoor homes for various reasons
www.caring-for-animals.org/cats.htm
and I also know of local groups such as Stokey Cats and Dogs who always need temporary foster indoor homes and permanent homes www.stokeycatsanddogs.co.uk/
What a handsome cat!
Is he microchipped and neutered? (Remember on rehoming to get the microchip contact details updated to the new owner once he has settled in). Sadly if cats and dogs are not microchipped, they are at risk of being put down if they get lost.
Hopefully someone local with a garden and cat flap can offer him a good home. He sounds like a lovely cat!
Also it helps to put up in local vets a good flyer including photo and details. For example, if you email a flyer to Village Vet, they will put up your flyer in their North London branches www.villagevet.co.uk (Rosie is the branch co-ordinator and she is very helpful, her email is rosie@villagevet.co.uk).
I'll spread the word and mention to Stokey Cats and Dogs as they are good at helping to find homes.
I regularly use Petal Cleanse C on my cats so I can recommend it too. It can initially take a couple of weeks to take effect, and it's worth trying and may help fix the problem. If you need any help with allergy advice tips, just message me, as I have experience as I'm allergic to cats and we have rescue cats.
