I'd really like FoFP to put on a firework display at Fairland Park, but its quite a difficult thing to do as the fireworks and insurance are expensive and there's quite a lot of organisation involved. We do have agreement in principle from the council to do one at the park though.
So I wondered about trying a really small one this year as a trial run type of thing.
It would need £5,000,000 public liability firework insurance and the cheapest i can find for that is £214 for a display for up to a maximum of 100 people, and then without a licensed firework operator something like a big single ignition display box would be easiest - the one in the video below costs £200 and lasts a bit under 3 minutes. So that would need about 100 people to come along and pay £4, or maybe FoFP could pay for some of it so perhaps £2 or £3 each.
Much more convenient than going all the way to Alexandra Palace and without all the crowds of people they have there - just pop over to Fairland Park on the 5th of Nov for a few minutes...what do you think, would you come along?
