Thoughts?
Thanks goes to Lib Dem councillor Clive Carter for highlighting & confirming here that this is the new logo.

Bandstand. See '8.1' in Council papers at end of the link at the top of this web page. Please note that parts of this document don't make much sense or are unintelligible.
So these people; Bandstand 'We come up with ideas people like' they say. Well certainly not in this case!! Their 'ideas' are as uninspiring as their new website (launched in 2014). Here's the funky crew.
Dave, I'm not sure why you've posted a new discussion thread.
As you mention, Clive kicked off the original discussion and he's been assiduously following-up the topic by tracking its various stages. As has our friend Martin Ball who is quoted in today's Evening Standard.
Until today I hoped that this absurd "logo" was actually a spoof. Someone circulating a fake. But that's not the case. Cllr Joe Goldberg (JoeGo as I prefer to think of him) seems determined to press on with this self-inflicted damage to the Council's reputation. So the new Logo will be pinned on staff, screwed on every street nameplate and plastered on the waste trucks.
To add salt to the wound, Clive and Martin attended the JoeGo Logo AllSystemsGoGo signing this morning and reported that there's a 90 second film on which they've wasted £20,000. Yes, I too queried the length a-minute-and-a-half for £20k? But Martin Ball told me that he heard the same as Clive.
Adding that JoeGo said the film will tell the story of Haringey for recruitment purposes. Which I suppose could make some sort of sense if we want to recruit new staff who are keen to work in a very peculiar place. For people who believe it's a priority to subsidise brand strategists, logo designers, a chicken restaurant and a firm of starchitects. More important than for example, keeping the streets clean, and keeping a Centre for people with Autism open.
Anyway, please don't be misled by rumours that much of the £86k will be used to improve the Council's website. That is not on the list below which I took from the budget as set out in the Council's own Report.
Please, Zeitgeist not zeitgeist. Otherwise it looks wrong.
edit: oh in your lingo it is tatsächlich zeitgeist: http://de.bab.la/woerterbuch/deutsch-englisch/zeitgeist
Should be JoGo, to stay with the Zeitgeist.
The leftover E can be ingested to make it look sensible.
Please sir, ... can we have one with, - 2 'R's, & an 'A' instead of the 'E', in these parts?
(apologies to C. Dickens).
Alan can I respectfully ask you to use Helvetica Bold for the "LONDON" part and not what appears to be Helvetica Narrow (or similar). It's important to respect the integrity of the original.
