Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone would like a game of Squash as i am currently looking for a Squash partner, I am quite new to playing but generally reasonably fit and enthusiastic.

Happy to play anywhere locally but have been recommended  either Clissold Leisure Centre or Tottenham Green Leisure Centre.

Thanks

Joel

You might want to try Coolhurst Squash Club. They have Club NIghts Wednesday and Sunday evenings where you can play a range of players. I think that you can play 3 or 4 times before you have to join. http://www.coolhurst.co.uk/squash/

Have to agree with Stephen. If you want to learn and improve, Coolhurst is a great way to go. If you want to come to a club night, check the website, come early, ask the bar staff or members where to sign the clubnight sheet and tell the organiser you are fairly new to the game. Your opponent will take that into consideration. You can go on to have private lessons or just join the club and put your name down for the next league. The bottom of the league is a good place to start, and you don't have to be too good!

Another option is squashmatch.co.uk It is an online league. Players sign up to their local area(ie North London) matches are played by agreement in local leisure centres(eg tottenham/sobell/clissold/britannia. There is a small monthly fee. You just put yourself in at the botton of the league. There is a new league coming up shortly. I play at Coolhurst and also at squashmatch. Its a good way to meet other players of your own level.
