want to visit the London Waste Eco Park - previously known as the Edmonton incinerator

We are organising a special outing to the London Waste Eco Park (previously known as the Edmonton incinerator) on the North Circular Road. This is where the rubbish from our wheelie bins goes into the waste incinerator plant to produce energy and where our green garden and food waste is turned into compost.

London Waste offers a tour which includes the energy centre and the compost centre. The tour takes about 90 minutes. There is more information about the centre on its website www.londonwaste.co.uk .

Our tour will start at 10.00 for 10.30am on Wednesday 14th January 2009. Up to 30 people can join the tour. So far we have 19 people.
