I've noticed a lot of airplane noise too and hope a 3rd runway is not implemented....

Thought the 3rd runway was for aeroplanes.

Someone told me some time ago that flights over various areas work on a rota system.  Can't recall what each period is, but what we're experiencing at the moment won't be forever...

I think it's more dependent on wind direction.

We counted like 9 in a row waking up the little one..

Yeah, judging by those jaggedy aerobatics on John's FlightRadar24 it's damn lucky we don't have an A27 skirting the Ladder. The little one might really get ratty.
