Recomendations for UPVC doubling glazing?

We used www.barnetwindowcompany.co.uk and they were excellent (ask for Tommy to do you a free quote). They are a local family business. I'm very fussy and I recommend them to everyone. Their windows look amazing (their upvc windows look like wooden windows and nothing like the awful examples of upvc you often see) and they have excellent fitters. They do a lot of work round here.

Thanks for this recommendation. I have looked at there website and made an inquiry with them. I unfortunately probably feel they might be out of my price bracket.

We are having a quote today by a man who has been highly recommended to me from a good friend he is very reliable and has thoughtful clean workers my friend has recommended him to so many people he isn't that local but will let you know how we get in he sounds very decent on the phone and doesn't waffle on like the window salesmen you get my friend had 11 windows and 2 doors done a couple of years ago and it was a little over 6 grand which is far less than the 9 grand we have been quoted In the past . I will let you know how we get on and can pass his number on if you like . It's always free for a quote

Hi, I can recommend the window company we went with. It's a company called Arkay windows in Woodgreen. Their prices fell into the lower-middle bracket (second lowest price). Having said that we got quotes from several companies and some were a bit extortionate. Arkay explained to us that they normally make their own windows and for other company's too. However the pvc sash windows we wanted would have to come from one of two company's that only manufacture this style. So we figured ordering from another company for pvc sash would have been much of a muchness in quality. Arkay were professional from sales enquiry, survey, order and fit. We are very please with them.

Try Mr McQueen FENSA registered just him and his wife.

Very good and very reasonable too.

Not local, but they did come and fit my window, I'd recommend TradeMark windows. We had UPVC sash windows put in a couple of years ago and they are fantastic. Service was great, installation quick and generally incredibly pleased with their work.
