I would really recommend John Duggan (079611431130).  He is calm, patient and very knowledgeable.

Seconded! John got me through my test first time, at the age of 50. He's great, and very congenial too. Btw I've just noticed that Grazyna put an extra digit in his phone number, which is 07961143130.

Anna Parkinson was my first teacher before she went on maternity leave. She's excellent too; her number is 07903 836425. I'm not sure if she's back working yet, though.

Hi and thanks for noticing the mistake.  Anna Parkinson taught me too and she recommended John to me as she is still on maternity leave.  I think John charges £27/hour (not sure exactly) but he has a special rate if you book 10 lessons.

Just to add a recommendation for John. After a long delay of going for my test again and using john his training was excellent and I passed. Always on time and never cancelled a lesson.

He's super friendly, patient, great teacher, very knowledgable and very reasonable prices too. I've been having lessons with him and really happy! If you speak to him, let him know that I recommended him to you as he'll be really pleased to hear :)

My wife used Raj of Guru Driving School. He's very patient, meticulous, and she's been very happy with him. He charges £25 an hour, with some deals for block booking. From our research, those seemed pretty standard prices.
