The family of HoL member Doreen Russell lived at 125 Wightman Road for fifty years. Sadly, during the Second World War, her uncle died. She gave me this photo of him and was wondering if anyone could tell her what uniform he is wearing. She believes he was in a naval unit of some sort.
Doreen also kindly lent me some photos of Harringay in WWII which I've scanned and added to our gallery.

Thanks Dick. Yes I agree that it is so nice to find that there are still genuine people out there who at the drop of a hat will go the extra mile to help you. Restores your faith in human nature.
Last but not least a huge thank you to Martin and Gen who put all the information on HOL which enabled Hugh to contact me so promptly with the date and age of my uncle when he died and above all the Memorial Certificate which was absolutely amazing. I could not believe my eyes when I clicked on it. Wish my dad was alive to see it. Also a big thank you to Hugh who started the ball rolling. Please give yourselves a well deserved pat on the back.Regards and gratitude to you all......Doreen
