Hello all,
There is a bag of compost and some fence panels and lots of reclaimed bricks which have been dumped outside the pub, i have reported these and was going to empty the compost into the flower bed but there was no space. Its a shame people do this and dump items like this, because not only are they unpleasant to look at but they can be reused.
Perhaps someone needs a bit of compost? or some lovely original yellow stock reclaimed bricks which look to be original from a Haringay terraced house to replace any damaged bricks? maybe you could collect some before the council remove them? the fence panels are broken so there no good, but the other items are ok!

Broken fence panels can be put into the wood recycling facility at one of the two centres, where they go to be used as fuel.
Most useless waste is only that made from mixed materials, and even that is now being burned for power in some waste centres. All it needs is a tiny bit of time, and a soul, for rubbish to become a resource not a problem.
Thanks! i didn't know this facility was available at the centres!
and yes! very true
I saw this too - makes me so angry
Over the years I've complained about street dumping, the Council's reporting facilities have improved considerably. It's easier to report stuff and it gets cleared pretty quickly.
Do other HoL members share that view?
Do people have a favoured method? (E.g. phonecall; phone app; council website; FixMyStreet etc.)
Rapid clearance doesn't change the behaviour of residents and traders who seem to think that dumping and littering is okay. Perhaps on the assumption that someone from "the council" will always come along to clear it. And of course, there are landlords, builders and "professional" fly-tippers who are happy to freeload on public services and on the rest of us who pay for them.
I agree - I think the reporting facilities have improved - and in this situation the rubbish was cleared very quickly!
Having said this i reported around 32 severely broken paving stones at the top of Haringey road to the council through fix my street and it took over 1 month for them to carry out repair works, i received an email stating that the works had been carried out to the councils satisfaction and then when i checked 3 paving stones had simply been removed and replaced with black tarmac! a very poor job! - but this is off the subject just thought i would tell you.
I agree i don't think rapid clearance does change offenders behaviour.
