Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Outdoor venue needed for social event August Bank holiday. Any ideas appreciated

A family member needs to hire an outdoor venue for a social event during the August bank holiday weekend. A farmhouse with a barn (in case of rain) amongst nice countryside somewhere accessible from around here would be great.. Better still, if there's some kind of hidden oasis in London itself that he could look into. ( for example, I was wondering if Harringay or any other council might have approapriate venues). He would prefer this to something more formal like a pub with a beer garden. Many thanks in advance to anyone who might come up with anything.

I think the sailing club/pump house at the reservoir behind the Castle climbing place does venue hire. It's right on the reservoir and as it's an old listed pump house I think it would make quite a nice venue for an event with outside space. I can't seem to paste the web link but if you Google 'West reservoir Centre venue hire' you'll find it.

What about the sailing club/pumphouse? Or cricket club in Crouch End?

There's this place. I've never used it but a former colleague held her wedding there and said it was very good.

The video you linked to was shot using a drone (like a wee helicopter with a camera on board). Some of the shots are grand, but they've used it for absolutely every shot. For many body supported footage would have worked better. In my opinion, they've also succeeded in making the property look pretty unattractive in a couple of the aerial shots.
