No

thanks

Really? I rang Parking control on Weds to make this same enquiry (after finding no info online) and I was told that Parking vouchers/permits were still required today, tomorrow and Monday.

oops Sorry if I'm wrong

Maybe it's just the Council car parks that are free.

Council website -

What is 'bank holiday enforcement'?

On bank holidays and public holidays, free parking is available in all on-street pay and display parking bays and in all open council car parks.

Vehicles parked within a Controlled Parking Zone are not required to display a valid resident permit or visitor permit when parking in resident or shared used use bays within the borough on these days.

Oops,my turn to apologise,I have just seen this too and looks like Permits aren't required. I guess one should never rely entirely on the info you get on the phone from Council staff.

No prob. I would omit the word " entirely "

just got a parking ticket- thought had put a ticket out for this morning but hadnt

Why do I feel vaguely guilty ?
