There are a couple of reasonable hotels on Seven Sisters between Finsbury Park Sta and Manor House.

No sorry, it was some time ago. We looked at a couple nearer the FP end  and they seemed quite reasonable. Best to go and recce for yourself.

I've heard good things about this place in Stroud Green: http://www.ossianguesthouse.co.uk/

Not stayed there myself though.

Thanks Kate, that looks great but pricey. A proper little Oasis. Hard to belive it's in Stroud Green.

Mount View Guest house or Ossian are both really nice. I've had people stay in both. Their availability is quite limited as they get booked up months in advance.

Shelton & Beaconsfield are nasty. I wouldn't let my parents stay there.

I've been told the Highbury Best Western is ok, the Queen's is meant to be nice following the renovation. They are both on that stretch between Manor House & Finsbury Park.

A little further away but the Travelodge/premier Inn options at Southgate, Edmonton, Enfield usually have plenty space and at least you know what you're getting. My parents have stayed at the Southgate one and said it was nice (for what it is).

Central Park Hotel on Wilberforce Road? It's just behind that garage on Seven Sisters Rd opposite the park entrance. I haven't stayed there but my friend's parents have and they thought it was a grand local budget hotel. There's a website.
