I remember in 1996 telling the then Commissioner of Inland Revenue in NZ (I was his personal nerd) that people would one day fill out tax returns on the Internet and he laughed at me.
This is definitely coming.

One way or another I believe it is too. Only two years ago internet shopping was something to talk about. It's now very common compared. The use of Web 2.0 applications are moving at lightning speed, especially with the younger generation. And it's exactly this generation that doesn't like how parliament is run now.
