Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

You can make homemade ginger beer using a ginger beer plant - a type of yeast culture. I've got lots to give away if anyone would like some.

Feed the plant daily with 2 tsp sugar and 1 tsp ginger powder. To make the beer, strain it through a muslin cloth. Use the liquid to make the beer. The solid can be kept to keep the plant going and to share. To reactivate the plant, put the solid back in a jar, add a quarter pint of lukewarm water and 4 tsp sugar, 2 tsp ginger and then keep feeding it daily as before. You can make beer from it weekly.
I'm on Salisbury Road N4 1JY for collection in a jam jar!
