HoL's Recommended Trades, Services & Professions Directory Tops 200 Categroies

When HoL started in 2007, it quickly became apparent how popular the trades, services and professions recommendations feature was. Both people wanting to find a service and those providing them told us from the off how much they valued this section of the site. So it wasn't long before we started to organise all the recommendations and began encouraging users to tag their posts (filling in the gaps where we need to.)

It's now become one of Haringey's and probably North London's most used sources of finding recommended trades and services.

As well as supporting whole house refurbishments, HoL recommendations help HoL users find people for one-off jobs both big and small.

Following a quick trawl and updating session, we now list over 200 different trades and services. 

It seems that the popularity of the service is growing too as the years tick by. Over one third of the total number of recommendation posts was made in 2014 alone.

You never know when you'll find value in this section of the site. I had reason to be very grateful for the recommendations last year.  As we renovated a buy-to-let property, HoL recommendations were invaluable. So please do keep posting - both by adding new posts and by commenting on others' posts. (And we'd love you even more if you could tag any new posts you add to save us the hassle). 

You can be sure your favourite tradespeople will be grateful too. I've heard from any number of tradesmen now how much they value getting HoL recommendations. With some getting as much as 75% of their work through HoL and others getting over £100,000 a year of work through the site, you can understand it!
