Well done for looking after it. If no-one recognises the cat on here - then you could take it to a vet and get it scanned to see if it is microchipped - they won't charge you and no appointment is needed.

If the cat is not microchipped, then you could put the cat's details in the found pets on www.animalsearchuk.co.uk

Also the same website lists details of lost cats.

You could try attaching a note to the collar with your tel no and see if any owner calls you.

You could put up some flyers and ask your neighbours if they recognise it and those with gardens backing on to yours.

If you have a microwave, a Snugglesafe heat pad will keep the cat warm for hours.

It's best to get the cat neutered.

Hopefully the cat will have an owner - I always encourage cat owners to get their cat neutered and microchipped and have a catflap.

Hi Jessic, I hope it is your cat, please let us know if he is not yours.

It's important to get your cat neutered by a vet so he doesn't make another cat pregnant as rescue centres are already full of kittens and cats with no homes. A cat is also less likely to stray if neutered and also less likely to fight other cats.

It's also important to get him microchipped by a vet - it's easy, just a small injection. Then if he gets lost again, he can be scanned for your contact details (otherwise if a cat is not microchipped, he may end up homeless in a rescue place with no-one knowing that he has an owner).

I don't know if you have a catflap, but cats do need a catflap as otherwise they get stuck outside for hours when their owner is out and then a cat will wander, looking for shelter or food.

As this cat was not your one, when your cat does come home, please follow Justine's advice above and get him neutered, microchipped, and install a cat flap... this will all help to return him to you next time, and to prevent more unwanted cats in London.

There are some leaflets on the lamposts on Woodlands Park Road about this cat I think. The picture looks a lot like that one. I'm not around there at the moment, but I'll have another look and find the phone number when I can.

Hi Neil,

I've compared the 2 photos and sadly, the one found is not Snowy. They are very similar-looking cats, but their markings are different on their faces. Hopefully Snowy is found.
