penetrating damp
Hello,
Can anyone recommend an independent damp specialist specifically for penetrating damp? We have damp coming in through the roof and damp patches on the walls in the back bedroom of our terraced house which definitely get worse after heavy rain.
We've had several roofers to look at the roof and already had some work done but none of them seem to have correctly identified the cause so we would prefer a damp specialist.

It turns out our report was sent to the wrong email address, our fault and not Abbotts. Hope yours has tipurned up Flora.

I recommend looking in your loft to see if it's well ventilated. Condensation on the underside of slates/tiles is a tell-tale sign you've not got enough air passing through.

Thanks Fiona. Having just done an investigation ourselves this morning I think we may have isolated where the water is coming in - so we may go straight to a roofer .... But if that doesn't work it will be a return to a damp specialist .

Hi, You probably have this sorted now, but I'm an independent Damp and Timber Surveyor.
Fully qualified and insured. I'm also a member of the trade association the Property Care Association. I also carry the government TrustMark.
