And there's another local steam train on Saturday, at South Tottenham half an hour earlier i.e. 0845.   No it does not pass Harringay [Green Lanes] way, it takes the tight curve round to Seven Sisters. Double-heading: two LMS 4-6-0s on their way to Norwich. Return via South Tottenham about 1945.

You wait for ever for a train and then two come along practically together....

If you're keen, you could see this one at Seven Sisters, then get the Victoria line to Finsbury Park in reasonable time to see the other one.....

Photos at the South Tottenham crew change this morning. The return working tonight is also hauled by 44871 & 4507 and is booked through Seven Sisters at 19:43 and South Tottenham at 19:46 on its way back to Barking 20:11-20:25 and Southend.

Great shots.. very reminiscent of the St. Pancras to Southend (via Harringay & South Tottenham) trains of my childhood. Thanks for letting us see them.
