A big Harringay smile & hello for a Big Issue?

A red-jacketed Big Issue vendor was outside the Sainsburys today. I got talking to him and thought he was dead nice and could do with a few smiles and hellos. Regardless of whether you want to buy the magazine, he is our new neighbour.

His names Michael, he's been housed locally and is very much trying to take steps to change his life. Whatever your views on the Big Issue might be, please join me in saying hello and welcoming him to the area, and of course buy yourself a copy of the magazine if you can.

It's cold today and sadly I like many think more about the homeless at Christmas time, but of course housing is a perennial issue and I can't help noticing that London seems to have more people on the streets.

Michael's pulling himself up and hoping for better times. It's got to be tough for him, but he's positive and deserves your support! Spread some goodwill, I always see a lot of that on this forum, but he's not on the internet and doesn't know what a great area he's in or what there might be in the area for him.

Anyway, a smile goes a long way, and is free.
