Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I was slightly gob-smacked this week to find that there are currently no spaces for children at South Harringay Juniors and Infants School to attend Breakfast Club.  Not only that, but there are 12 other children on the waiting list ahead of me.  I start a new job on Monday and really need this service.  I had thought that this was now a stautory requirement for schools but the requirement appears to be provide a service but whether the service is available to all is not the issue.  I suspect that for every child on the waiting list there is another who would make use of the service if it was available.  What do other parents do?  I would happily bung someone a few quid to deliver No. 1 son to school for me but we're new to the school and don't really know anyone well enough to ask....

I'm not sure about the statutory requirement aspect tbh (wasn't that the previous Government's plan?)

I would have thought that schools are restricted wrt to numbers due to funding, suitability and size of premises, as well as staff to children ratios.

Plenty of parents use childminders/au pairs/nannies - put a request on here
