Westbury reviews anyone?
went to the Westbury last night. Excellent real ale at very decent prices (£3.40 for Redemption Trinity, an excellent tasting brew from Tottenham) Not crazy about the lighting, but hey, hardly a problem. Place was pretty full and nice to hear the chatter of humans talking without music telly etc. Food starts today, but maybe I'll leave it a few days for the kitchen to bed in. Be glad to read food reviews tho!

I went on opening night and it was packed to the rafters. They were doing a few freebie bits of food - spicy chicken wings and v. crispy teeny onion bhajis, v. nice. Bodes well. It's a vast vast improvement on the old Westbury. Very happy it's finally open.

I’m not an alcoholic, but I’ve been in both nights so far. Excellent choices of beers, friendly, attentive staff, nice job with the refit and smart toilets ( very important). The only things I’d change would be to turn the lighting down a bit and the taps turn the wrong way round in the toilets. Very, very pleased to have such a nice place on our doorstep, and if the roasts are as good as the ones in The Wrestlers, I’ll be a very happy bunny.
