Has anyone else had problems getting damaged bins replaced or repaired. We have been waiting for over 2 weeks for a new green lid for our recycling bin - the lid was missing after the collection was made. And to add insult to injury our recycling was left uncollected this week. I wonder how the contract monitoring of Veolia is managed,

Complain. We had a similar experience, as did our neighbours. We then complained, threatening to raise the matter with the relevant councillors (their published service standard is ten days). The lids were repaired the next day.
I reported in early October, so nearly six weeks ago. The call centre person said the replacement lid would be delivered in ten working days.
Neither the online reporting nor the telephone lines seem to be functioning.
Me too! Bin was returned without green lid, no idea where lid had gone, as wasn't visible in the street or in any neighbours' gardens. Am still waiting, but only reported it 8 days ago. It's hard to get Veolia to collect out of lidless bin as they don't recognise it as a green bin without its lid, and anyway, it fills with water without the lid, so have to keep all recycling indoors all week until collection day. Seeing your post has reminded me to chase! Will keep you updated!
Unhelpfully for this discussion, I've found Veolia to be ok on replacement - lid was broken one collection, logged it, and only had to chase once - was all done in 10 days.
One gripe though is that they delivered a new recycling bin because they thought we could do with an extra - have never had overflow recycling, and they delivered without asking us. Waiting to see how long it'll take them to collect it.
