Anyone had their pebble dash painted ? Advise and recommendations

Hi,

Don't know if anyone can help but just wanted to get some advise on getting the front of our pebble dash house painted. I know it will never look beautiful but it's a horrible grey colour and was thinking maybe get painted white. Anyone had this done ? Any advise ? And any recommendations for a company who can do? I have been told it's quite specialist.

Any help greatly appreciated .

Thanks

Hayden

there is nothing difficult about painting pebble dash. It may be painted labouriously by hand or by using a heavy duty roller.

Plus. If the pebbledash is dirty or flakey, the hard part is rubbing it down with a heavy duty wire brush and then washing it. Hard work!

Hi,

Painting pebbled ash is not difficult at all. If you want to do it yourself (provided that you are not scared of working on a ladder!) you will need to apply a watered down coat first and then put the 2nd coat on top. Nothing difficult about it. However, if any of the pebbled ash is loose or cracked which is the recipe for water ingress and damp, that needs to be sorted first (hacked off, rendered, etc).

Good luck :)
