It was international Peace Day last Sunday, so tonight at Songworks (www.songworkschoir.co.uk) we will be keeping with this theme.
This time last year, I taught a song called Kusinwa Kudedelwana which came from the Woza Moya Community who provide care for people affected by AIDS and HIV in the KwaZulu Natal region of South Africa
The words mean "have a dance and let it go"
I sent a donation on behalf of the choir as a thank you for their song and I was delighted to receive a reply
Warm Greetings and thank you so much for this lovely email.
Everyone was thrilled here in our Community Centre to hear that a London Choir is singing songs from our Ofafa Valley! That is wonderful!
I don't know about you, but I am feeling fairly powerless when I turn on the TV and hear about more and more suffering going on all around the world, Palestine, Syria, Iraq... At least if we can sing together with the intention of sending our good wishes out into the world, it's better than doing nothing. I think so anyway.
Come along for a free taster session. All voices warmly welcomed whether you think yo can sing or not! 7.30 til 9 Union Church N8. 07957 646465
