.....two come along at once.
So what have we done to deserve this?
Harringay Market is being reborn this week based at the Kurdish Centre in the Gardens, then a week later a new market is opening up in Harringay Market's first home.
Let's not even mention another exciting foodie arrival due in the hood in the coming months.

Where is the Kurdish Centre in the Gardens?
Interesting stuff - anyone know who's behind the Falkland Rd one?
judging from the tweet that Hugh links to, might be the school itself.
A few more details appear to be emerging about the Falkland Road Market. I (or I'm sure someone else) will share what we know once it's confirmed.

what is the "another exciting foodie arrival due in the hood in the coming months" you mention?
I'm leaving the honour of breaking the news on that to the 'proud parents'.
might it be Harringay stores a few doors down from Blend. Noticed the new sign a few days ago?
Indeed it was. I didn't want to steal their thunder. Read all about them here.
Well I find this a pretty sad situation. Its not likely two markets in the area can survive. It was well publicised that Harringay Market needed a new home so it seems quite poor for the school to be opening one in competition instead of offering the play ground to Harringay Market.
I think we are owed some explanation from the people behind this NHP market - come on - if you want us to come and buy things then tell us now why this is a good thing for our community.
I'm a bit baffled too to be honest, and I can't believe that both can thrive, especially if they are on the same day (but even if they aren't I'd imagine it would be difficult).
