Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Pumpkin our Ginger Tom cat is still missing and we are really missing him and very concerned about him. He has been missing for over three weeks now. He was staying in Effingham rd on the ladder whilst we were on hols. Has anyone seen him? He is around 5 years old a largish Ca,, short soft Ginger hair, with paler markings and rings on tail and coat. He is chipped but has no collar. He is very friendly usually. This is the second post about him but I have had no replies yet.137.JPG

I've tweeted this and cc-ed in the @finsbury_pk account - I hope he turns up!

Just as an fyi, every new post on HoL gets automatically tweeted and sent to our FB page. It looks like this one just hit our Twitter stream.

Thanks Hugh I don't have a twitter account and didn't realise there is a FB page.

Facebook page is here. Although we're nudging 1,000 likes, I have to say that whilst we have fits and stater of adding unique content too the page, these days it just serves as an alternative access node for the content on the moan site. So, if Facebook's your thing, you could try liking the page and Facebook's edge rank system will no doubt chose some of our content to share with you.

This site's not always just for moaning, Hugh...

Thank you so much. Gilly x

I really don't want to get your hopes up if it's not him but... we did have 'a' ginger cat in our yard about 2 days ago. Our visitor did look to be a much stronger orange/ginger colour than yours but colours in photos can be deceiving so I very hesitantly mention it. We are about midway between the two addresses you've given in posts.

Thank you Robyn, maybe if you see him again you could give me a call and I could come over if I am around not sure what else to do. I will pm you my number. Pumpkin is usually friendly but he may have had a bad experience... perhaps if you see him again try calling him pumpkin... he has a slight kink in his tail... very slight sometimes you can feel it if you brush along it at the bottom. And he has lighter rings around the tail and his legs...  gilly x

Of course, will keep an eye out and try to see if it's him. Sorry, it's awful to be missing a pet.
It's awful to have lost a cat, I hope you find it. I'd just like to say that I live on Effingham Road and own a ginger cat that looks just like yours and is prone to wander. so if someone does call you and you collect one, please check its chip to confirm

Oh dear of course... but I feel sure I would know Pumpkin he has the slightest kink in his tail that can be felt if you stroke the tip. x

Will keep a lookout. I see that he went missing from Effingham road where he was temporarily staying while you were on holiday. If he got out of that house by mistake, he wouldn't know where he was, so would not be able to find his way home either to Effingham road or his usual home in Cyprus Close. In the first instance, he is likely to be in a radius of 5 gardens of neighbouring houses in Effingham Road and also gardens backing on to the property from the other side.

In these circumstances, it's a good idea to sprinkle outside the contents of your hoover or his litter tray as he will recognise the scent from far away and come towards it.

You can take comfort in the fact that you were sensible to microchip him - at least that means even if you don't find him straightway, at some point he should be found and scanned and returned to you. Best of luck. I've put this in both your posts and linked it. It's also worth putting his details on www.animalsearchuk.co.uk
