Any one else having problems with it. Ours hasn't worked properly for about 3 weeks. No end of calls to Sky hasn't resolved the problem. The speed is very look and constantly keeps crashing!

Last night right, in the middle of match of the day, TV & BB both crashed (virgin) - Good job i had a back up TV with roof aerial

I don't know if this is helpful or not, but we (on Pemberton) haven't had any problems with our Sky broadband - hopefully it might help to isolate the problem! Hope you get sorted soon.

The reply from Sky via Twitter:

for the record my virgin BB/TV has been down for the last hour (from 8.50 - 9,40pm)

Again for the last hour no BB/TV - Hi by the way

I've been with Sky for over 10 years. Their broadband comes through the BT exchange. Over the 4 years we have lived on the ladder super fast broadband has been coming and coming, and coming. Always 3-4 months away.

In the meantime Sky broadband, through BT wires, slowed and slowed and slowed until it was worse than I remembered dial-up was before broadband days. We slowed right down to just a little over download of 5 Mbps.

I could take no more and migrated over to the dark side. Virgin super fast. Running at just over 130 Mbps download. About 25 times faster...
Thanks everyone for your help and advice. It's hugely frustrating. BB speed is practically non-existent and is actually worse than the days of dial up! I think our days with Sky are numbered as they don't really seem very interested in resolving this for us. Any recommendations of where to go next hugely appreciated.

Jonny do you read these posts ? I've just commented on how my virgin BB/TV has been down since yesterday and only just come back on

Should i post that my plumbing doesn't leak or that i've had no probs with my electricity supply ?

Jonny i assume you mean me - I've had several outages here in N89 some lasted for days - My package is 40Mb

At the risk of tempting fate, I've been with BT since dial-up days ( now on Infinity ) and never had a problem.

My EE/TMobile/Orange broadband has been flaky for weeks, but whenever I call them when it crashes it rights itself - got in a longer call today with them where they tested my line and decided that the BT line is faulty.  They are 'working on it', taking till Wednesday.  Last month it was down for five days, including the house phone.  So its crashing all over (I'm in 7Sisters). Not just Sky which I would not have in my house.
