Hi there,

I run Crop Drop - the local veg box scheme. We're less than 1 year old and we're a not-for-profit organisation that is, so far, mostly run by volunteers.

Trying to be helpful , so apologies if this comes out at all snarky. Saying that a volunteer role might turn into a paid role can land you (and the volunteer if they are in receipt of benefits or an asylum seeker) in serious hot water. The person could legally be seen as a worker not a volunteer. Google 'Volunteers and the Law' by Mark Restall - you should be able to download it for free - it explains the legal difference and how to avoid you being taken to tribunal or the volunteer losing their benefits.
