7pm: The Haringey First World War Peace Forum is staging a re-enactment of the anti-war meeting held outside the Salisbury at the outbreak of the First World War.
This promises to be a rally with a difference. There will be short speeches from characters in period costume, including men who went on to be conscientious objectors, suffragettes who opposed the war, working people who had no quarrel with workers from other countries.
There will also be with songs of the period sung by Patricia Hammond (mezzo-soprano), accompanied by Matt Redman (guitar, mandolin-banjo).
More music in The Salisbury afterwards.

Thanks for posting was looking for this info, see you all there. To hear the words of people living in the era of the start of WW1 and songs of the time sounds interesting and in such a traditional pub.
There was a big turnout for this gig, which closed St Ann's road and spilled over the corner, maybe 150 people or so? Glad that the anti war tradition is remembered as the glory of war train is pulling into the station.....
A few pictures and a little video here.
