Hairdresser no longer at Coco
Hi
Does anyone know what's happened to Tahmina who used to be a senior stylist at Coco on Green Lanes. I went there after a 2 month absence and I was told she'd moved on, and they couldn't provide any further info. She was really fabulous and I would rather go to her than go back there again to anyone else. If you were a regular customer of her's, do you know where she might have moved on to? Thanks.

I also went on Sunday and was disappointed to find Tahmina not there. Again a vague story to start with and then that she was pregnant. There has been a lot of staff changes over the past few months. I had an appt with the owner in the end but will be looking for a new hairdresser.

Thanks Maggi. Hopefully one of us will find the elusive and much missed Tahmina. If I hear anything I will let all of the people who kindly replied here know. The last time she cut my hair was about 10 weeks ago and there was no mention of pregnancy or departure when I saw her. I think she'd be savvy enough to get her regular client's numbers if she knew she was leaving. Fingers crossed we'll find her.

Nedim the owner of CoCo was my old landlord and hairdresser, I was gutted to find out that he sold the business and flats and is concentrating on his hairdressers in Palmers green (maybe thats called CoCo too - maybe Tahmina has gone there.
However as I was desperado for a hair cut I tried a guy called Ozzie (I would recommend him, and have since been twice for a good hair cut - not much of a talker but a good hairdresser.

So, Coco used to be owned by the excellent Nedim, who also opened a branch in Cockfosters (not Palmers Green), very close to the tube station. In my opinion he was definitely the best hairdresser with the best team in Harringay. Anyway, sadly he then sold the Coco in Harringay, although the name has stayed the same. When he left he took Mehmet, his number 2, with him. So his Coco in Cockfosters now has nothing to do with our local one, but the branding looks the same.
The only original member left in the Harringay Coco was Tahmina, who was also excellent. I didn't realise she had left, but if you want to know why, Nedim in the Coco in Cockfosters is bound to know. She might even have gone to work for him. I'll ask him next time I go to see him in Cockfosters, which will be soon.

Recently, I've started going to a great little salon called Vintage Hair. It's just by Harringay Station on Quernmore road, run by 2 sisters. So far I've had regular wash and blow drys and been excellent, not had cut or colour yet. They do discounted colour on Mon I think. They also do manicures and other beauty stuff. I am pretty sure she was not pregnant. I went there with my mum and she told me that she got no sleep that night and that she was very stressed out . Her husband dropped her off a huge coffee . When i went back the following week to get an hair cut for myself i was told she was gone. that day i got the worse haircut i ever had with none asked me what i wanted. I won;t be going back but i will go back to Tahmina anytime... so please find her
