Bolivian capital La Paz or Sucre
As someone with too much time on their hands, I questioned a BBC quiz where the contestant answered Sucre to the 'what is the capital of Bolivia?' only to be told they were wrong the answer being La Paz. The Bolivian constitution names Sucre as the capital, but other sources are deliberately vague describing them as economic, historical etc. The BBC claims Encyclopaedia Britannica and the Bolivian embassy as sources but both are equally vague. I do like to stick it to the BBC who are arrogant ***** at the best of times. Cannot get anyone to answer the phone at the embassy and two emails have gone acknowledge but unanswered(guess no one wants to commit?) Anyone out there got a better source? btw may I claim my prize for trivial question of the month?

It is located on the western side of Bolivia at an elevation of roughly 3,650 m (11,975 ft) above sea level.
It is, de facto, the world's highest administrative capital.[7] While the official capital of Bolivia (and its seat of justice) is Sucre, La Paz has more government departments.[8]
