Some vinyl is worth a lot of cash and it's collection is on the up, retro shops cropping up all of the time. What do you pay for your vinyl or are you expecting freebies? If so, good try! I'm hanging on to mine, for now. ;-)

Hey wedders , sadly I have nothing I want to sell but I do have loads of rare 86 - 94 house 12s. Unfortunately they were left in the cellar for too long , got damp and all the covers got ruined and stuck to the vinyl. I don't suppose you know how I can get the covers off the records without scratching them?

i share you pain.. i've been there

sadly i don't know of way to avoid damage to the records

i literally had to chuck a load of my collection away from a similar episode.. put in an insurance claim and replaced the items i really wanted

Gutted. My theory is to just sock them in cold water with a tiny bit of lemon juice making note of the record first. It's worth a try I guess.

that's an option.. but the centre label would come off as well.. guess you 'll find out after doing one

I feel l your pain too, TW. I'm reminded of various collections left in student digs and lent out to be never returned. OUCH!
