HI Fellow Harringay Gardeners,
Sonya here. Was wondering if anyone has any spare seeds for my school's little garden - used by nursery and reception classes. I was wanting some salad/veg things - anything they can eat really. Was really looking for sorrel seeds and/or chard seeds (rainbow or green) but am open to any donations.
PLease contact me via HoL if you can help,
Thanks,
Sonya

Hi Sonya
I can let you have seeds left over from the swap.
Edibles
There's also a few flowers
If you want any I can bring them to school.
We missed you at the seed swap Sonya. Would you like one of your comfrey plants back? They are now reaching impressive dimensions.
Thanks Liz, can I pick them up after school tomorrow or Friday? x Sonya
Thanks Dick too - I won't need anymore as all mine have had loads of babies and I have a whole garden full of comfrey now - but they are all nearly flowering and that's great news for my apples and pears to be pollinated by the bees, as I have discovered that comfrey flowers at the exact time you need them for the fruit trees. Then after that just chop them down to make comfrey tea - for the plants of course!
Thanks again,
x Sonya
Hi Sonya You might try your local branch of #ilovefreegle.org its a UK online based nonprofit voluntary recycling/reuse charity which has only one goal 'To Stop Good Stuff Going to Landfill' and in doing that supports local communities across the UK Freegle means 'Free Giving Locally Easily' and is a free to register free to use forum based on Yahoo Groups where members can offer and/or request just about anything so long as it's free and legal. Freegle actively encourage members to offer and/or request broken white and electrical goods then post a 'Wanted' or respond to an offer of another washing machine, microwave, hoover or whatever and when it breaks down put it back up and get another. #ilovefreegle.org also encourage Schools, Colleges, Community Groups, Uni's, Community Centre's, Homeless and other resource centres, hostels, charities and other nonprofits to name but a few who can register to get the resources they need also completely free of charge. There are over 550 groups with over 1.6 million members giving away stuff they don't want and/or getting stuff they do. Freegle is run entirely online by over 1,000 dedicated unpaid volunteers who also each pay their groups running costs from their own pockets. You can also your chosen groups Cafe group and meet other Freeglers.
Regards
Liz
