Any other Orange Day parents out there worrying what to do about the just published 'inadequate' Ofsted rating?
Their letter to all the parents about this says Eileen Rumble has been returned as Interim Manager but chatting at Harringay Market today i was told she's only back part time, does anyone know if thats the case?
That letter also said Eileen would be corresponding with all parents by the end of last week but we've had nothing yet, has anyone?

Oops! My bad. I'll have a word with myself about what my use of patriarchal pronouns suggests about my subconscious. Also, perhaps something about reading the thread properly.
Thanks for all the comments - much appreciated.
I would also recommend Eagle nursery on Green Lanes as an alternative. My eldest went to Orange and my youngest is at Eagle so I know what I'm comparing! Not as polished as Orange but the staff are lovely and the manager especially is really brilliant. It's got a really nice family atmosphere and I'm very glad we chose it. And it's about half the price of Orange!
I know a few people at Eagle and they love it!!!! its good to see a few more places springing up - maybe Orange needed a bit more competition!
We also made the decision to leave Orange last year - we just couldn't justify the huge costs and we just felt it was really overcrowded. We moved to Noel Park and I have to say its been amazing - really well organised with older, long term staff - most of whom have children and a lot of common sense! The manager has been there for a long time and is so passionate about children. Its all on one floor with free access to the garden, the children are always busy with lots of free play in the morning - they literally can play with anything they like (it sounds far more fun than working!) and then more targeted group time with their own age groups in the afternoon and then more free play, music and access to a huge interactive smartboard. They have a really sensible attitude to illness - one of my big bugbears with Orange was the slightest sniffle - and I really do mean the slightest sniffle and we would be dispatched to pick him up - we had endless and sometimes very frustrating conversations about the fact that he got overheated very quickly and no it wasn't a temperature..... He has really come on so much since he started 6 months ago and we have built up a great realtionship with the staff and other parents too - its very friendly and fun and just never seems as tense as Orange. I have to say our time in the baby room and Strawberry at Orange was great generally - the staff we dealt with were lovely and I did have a little cry when we left but our concerns were always about him moving upstairs, it did seem things were getting better as we left but we really love our new nursery - I would shop around first, there are some fab nurseries around - probably more for over 1s though!
I've been paying £1356 for my toddler for a f/t place; I don't know where you've got your figures from. I say 'have been' as we've just moved away. I was terribly sorry to leave Orange as it really has upped its game and the staff are just lovely.
Fixed at last and back to a "Good" rating.
