On the one hand, it's comical. On the other hand, it's corruption. I can't, sadly, say I'm surprised. Labour has been running OUR borough along these lines for years now (50, to be precise). Tell them, 'enough's enough' -- whoever you vote for, make sure it isn't for Haringey Labour!
Justin Hinchcliffe
Seven Sisters Conservative Candidate, 2014
Heavens, no!!! Don't want Inspector Knacker knocking on our doors, do we? And it's more, like it or not, an internal issue for them, whereas, for example, spending £22k of taxpayers' cash on a get-to-meet-developers trip to Cannes, knocking down historic buildings and being totally awful at running the education and social services departments are not.
It is NOT just an internal issue for them Justin and I appreciate that in running against them you'd be reluctant to acknowledge this but here we go: the candidates selected in SAFE wards will be elected. St Ann's is a massively SAFE ward for the Labour Party. Claire Kober had trouble getting elected where she actually lives (Muswell Hill) so got selected in a safe seat (Seven Sisters) and therefore elected. This is an issue for all of us because the three councillors in St Ann's will be accountable to the small group of people who committed fraud to select them, not their chosen electorate who will all think that by voting Labour they are being looked after.
Your fear of legal action and the Police is noted Mr Hinchcliffe.
"Mr Hinchcliffe"?? You *are* allowed to call me "Justin". I prefer the informal approach. So, in your humble opinion, who should people in St Ann's vote for?
So, our prospective councilors are not going to answer the question.....
Should I be concerned that only the Conservative party have contributed to this discussion?
I most certainly will be voting for Haringey Labour. Between the Tories and Labour, there really is no question Mr Hinchcliffe.
