Cafe Blend

This is the perfect cafe.  Perfect hangout.  Decor, coffee, food & cakes to die for.  PERFECT!  The best coffee in London.  A plea to all to try it, hang out there and meet up.  Being selfish I want to make certain they have enough custom as I'd be truly heartbroken if they didn't stay open.  Open in the evening for cocktails and food too.  Love it.  Anyone interested in having a book club or knitting/sewing club there or any other interesting ideas - debates/discussions?.

BTW I don't work for Blend and/or I don't get commissions from them :P On the one hand I would like it to still be a secret for few lucky locals, but on the other hand I want it to do well and stay in business because I don't know what I would do otherwise! When we lived in Muswell Hill we used to go to Nyborgs Kitchen nearly every weekend and when they closed down we felt like the area had lost so much of its appeal. I don't want this to happen again!!

Anyway, let us know what you think of Blend once you've tried it :)

There you go! And my son tells me there isn't a cool place on GLs where young guys in skinnies, with undies on show, can hang out and look interesting!

I agree! I use it as the occasional office and so do a lot of other home based workers. I am interested in getting together with the solo traders and those that sit with their Apple Mac's; as a network for discussion, support and sense of community. Anyone else?

By the way, Steve and Linda and a lot of their friends did most of the refurbishment themselves (including laying that floor piece by piece!), so a big effort and clap on the back for them.

Great! Look out for a notice on the community board. I'll place something up. But I am on holiday for much of March so I'll propose it for April and that will give people time to respond. I'll let Steve and Linda know too, so they can be on the look out and let people know.

Great stuff! As a roving freelancer I can't be sure I won't be stuck full time in a far less relaxing office space by April, but as long as I'm around locally I'll keep going back to work in blend. Will keep an eye out for your notice :)
