Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hello

Does anybody know what the council's policy is on dog owners who let their dogs go in dog-free areas? Is it a matter for the environmental health team and do they have any powers to fine or prosecute?

I'm just wondering as Stationers Park seems to be a magnet for maverick dog-owners who think it OK for their animals to enjoy the playground facilities.

Thanks

Phil

Just ask them to take their dog outside as it's not allowed in. It's a council 'rule'...I'm always pointing it out to dog owners who aren't aware of it. Seems to do the trick.....
It's sometimes an intimidating situation to do that. Especially approaching young lads with large dogs. Our local park gets wrecked by the dogs biting on swings etc. It's a nuisance.

You've clearly encountered more law-abiding dog owners than I do then. Very few comply (even though I ask politely and assume their antisocial behaviour is down to their not having seen the prominent signs)
