Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Thought I'd add these links in case anyone is interested.

1) Tottenham High Road from the air in 1938 with trams and the now demolished houses to the east of the High Road. Chesnut Road, Welbourne Road, High Cross Road etc.
2) South Tottenham showing Seven Sisters Primary School & South Grove School and the now long gone Woodville Grove (and including my grandparents house on St Georges Road :-) ).
Interesting in that they also show buildings destroyed only a few years later in WW2. Ida Road, Elmar Road, St Georges Road, Stoneleigh South etc.,

I remember the Lebus factory very well, as well as the jams of bike riders (1960s) at the beginning and ending of shifts and at lunchtime.
I thought some of you may not have seen this site.

OK, see what you're asking. It was set up as an admin only category since ideally we'd like to get most history discussions in the history group. This just allows us to recategorise any that escape!

Something not quite right with that map - there's nothing marked for the western end of Falkland Fairfax (the bombs that created the park), nor further east on Fairfax (the bombs that created the gaps in the Victorian terraces).

Fairfax/Effingham was a V1, therefore 44/45 therefore not on the map..
