Ladder Community Safety Partnership

Just wanted to remind folks what a great local organisation the Ladder Community Safety Partnership (LCSP) is.  They meeting every second Thursday of the month at 7pm at the Harringay United Church Hall (entrance on Green Lanes near Allison Road).  Local police and councillors usually attend as well as relevant council officers.

Over the past few years they have successfully tackled:

• Funding for trees on Ladder road
• Working with the council to improve the Harringay Passage
• Working with local police and helping to set up neighbourhood watches and pass on crime updates
• Opposed betting shops on Green Lanes
• Produced an action plan on Houses in Multiple Occupation/conversions which has led to a working group and the setting up of the Additional Licensing Scheme for all HMOs in Harringay Ward
• Lobbying for a holistic traffic survey to address the issues with traffic in the area
• Worked with residents groups and the Green Lanes traders to help organise the Harringay Green Lanes Food Festivals
• As a founding member of the Green Lanes Strategy Group together with traders and other partners successfully bid for money from the Mayor's Outer London Funder to regenerate Green Lanes (work which is ongoing in 2014).
