Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

COME AND SING for Mandela in celebration of his incredible life

We will gather at CROUCH END TOWN HALL 12.30 til 1pm SATURDAY 7th DECEMBER  to sing a rousing South African song called Rolihlala Mandela.

Rolihlala is Nelson Mandela's tribal Xhosa first name, his Xhosa friends would call him this rather than Nelson, which is his public English Christian name. The pronunciation of "hla" in Rolihlala is similar to the welsh Ll in Llandudno
It is very easy to learn and we can create a great big sound to help his spirit soar!

See you at 12.30 tomorrow.
PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD! Send to your kids schools and any local community groups you know with email lists.

Don't forget to sing for Winnie too (and his other women). If it hadn't been for Winnie's much-more-than-27-years'-struggle for her man, their family and their cause, do you think Obama or Cameron etc would have ever even heard of Madiba - or that you would ever have learnt to clic on his Xhosa syllables?  Too many are content to associate Winnie only with 'burning tyre necklaces' and Mandela with the halo of sanctity.
