Hi
does anyone know of a local joiner/carpenter/cabinet-maker that could make a made-to-measure bookcase for us? I've looked up previous posts tagged with "joiner" but none of them mentioned bookcases, so I thought I would ask again!
Thanks!

Try Michael Slade on Quernmore Road N4, who definitely does bookcases: http://michaelsladefurniture.co.uk/gallery1.html
ah great, that's the kind of stuff I've been looking for, thank you! I hope his prices are good too!
More suggestions welcome :)
I wouldn't say he's cheap but definitely seemed reasonable for the quality and professionalism.
Hi Cecilia,
I have worked with a very good bespoke cabinet maker called David Holland, he is based down near Stroud Green Road. He has done a fair bit of stuff for me at home including bookshelves and a fitted wardrobe. http://www.davidholland.info
As I say, he is very good, highly recommended.

Cecilia,
My friend Gareth (based near Stoke Newington) specialises in bookcases, is meticulous and very reasonable: 07931 929 263
I'd like to recommend my husband, Jonathan Pearce. Jon is a furniture/cabinet maker and lives in Bounds Green. He's very good (and I'm not saying that just because he's my husband!) and charges realistic rates. His website is www.jonathanpearcefinefurniture.com
Best wishes

i would love to get details of this carpenter, also looking to have book shelves made.
