A young ginger and white cat has been hanging around our garden for a few weeks. I can't get a photo as he won't stay still for long, but he looks the spitting image of this cat:

I have tried to contact the owners through the site, in case it is the same cat, but they haven't replied. The cat is now trying to get in the house (much to my cat's disgust), and as it's turning a bit cold I'd like to check that he does have a home. If he belongs to anyone on HOL please let me know!

Thats a shame they haven't replied. Could you catch him and take him to see if he is chipped? Then you would get their address if it is the same cat as the advert says the cat is chipped. If he is hungry you could coax him into a cat carrier with food perhaps? (sorry if you've already thought of all of this! :))
Well done for trying to help this cat! If the cat is trying to get in your house, I would encourage it inside with food so that you can catch it. Then you can take a photo of it to put on here (and also compare its markings to the one on animal search) and also you would be able to take it the vet to get it scanned for a microchip.
Hi Phoebe, where on Seymour are you? When I lived there there was one that looked like this one living on Hewitt, not far from me, and one a few houses further up on Seymour, I'd see them both in the garden from time to time. My house was a few doors up from the passage, garden backing on to Hewitt.
It might be one of the two local gingers, one of them (the Hewitt one) is quite aggressive towards other cats, and pretty forward, but shy at the same time. He never tried to get in my house though, so he may be lost..
Our cat keeps on staying out for days on end. Could it be him? Please let me know - thanks!
