Wanted - jam jars

Hi There, does anyone have any jam jars they would be willing to give away? I am collecting them for chutney making. Thanks, Kate

Hi Kate, i have 10 dusty jars with lids if you want them (mix of used jam and Marmalade jars)

Hi Sally, thanks, that sounds great. I forgot to ask - are the lids plastic coated (ie vinegar friendly)? I realised they need to be for chutneys. Thanks, Kate

yes they appear to be several previously used for chutney, please call on 020 8889 8817 to collect

What sort of chutney you making? get ready for that sensory blast in the nose as that lovely combination of vinegar and sugar reduces. Have fun, start early, I get caught out bottling in the wee hours, not much fun on your own if the house has gone to bed. When you have enough jars let me know and I'll put a post on myself. Bonne Maman are good for acidity.

I have a heap that I had in reserve for the same reason which you are most welcome to, I'm moving soon and was going to recycle them, so this is perfect!
