Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
sash window repair
We have a broken sash cord which needs to be replaced and the wieghts reattached. Can anyone recommend a local company to do it?
Also, has anyone got any idea how much we should expect to pay to replace one sash cord?

Contact Jay Sinclair - you should be able to find his contact details on this site if you search on his name, there are plenty of recommendations for him. He's an all round great carpenter and specialises in repairing/rennovating sash windows, at very reasonable prices, I doubt you'd get anyone more reasonable.
He replaced some bits of our sash windows, did a great job.

Alan who is local on the Ladder on 07977594847 did a fab job on several of my sashes from minor repairs to complete refurb.

Can anyone add to this. We still havent been able to get hold of someone to do this. Can anyone recommend a company rather than individuals as we've had mixed experiences with handymen recommendations.
We've tried acorn but they're fully booked until december.
Has anyone used Barnet windows?

I sent you a contact number a few weeks ago. My boyfriend can do this for you. His name is also Alan. You might have tried him and not got through as has been having terrible trouble with his phone - he got a new one and it is faulty but Virgin keep sending him faulty ones again with the same issue! (HTC - a known fault with the speaker but they won't swap it for another type) I will send you my number as well now, so if you ring me in the evenings I can put you on to him.
